The Simpsons 13×22: Poppa’s Got a Brand New Badge

Springfield is in the midst of a heat wave. The nuclear plant is at capacity and when one of its crack employees, Homer Simpson, plugs in just one appliance too many, the city has a blackout. Looting begins and the police are ineffective. In an attempt to try doing something right for a change, Homer starts his own security company to help keep order. Chief Wiggum finds himself without a job, when Mayor Quimby decides that “Spring Shield” security should become the city’s new police force. Homer shuts down one of Fat Tony’s operations and with that crime is non-existent. Fat Tony makes a public announcement that he is going to gun down Homer if he isn’t out of town by tomorrow at noon. Homer appeals for help, only no one of importance offers to help. The following day, Fat Tony and New Jersey associates a la The Sopranos go to the Simpson home. Shots ring out, effectively wounding Fat Tony and friends. Homer decides to give his badge to the next person he sees, which happens to be Clancy Wiggum. He comments that’s the way he got the job in the past, he also disavows any knowledge of the shots; but we know who the shooter is, it’s Maggie Simpson.

After somehow seeing Capt. Kenneth Push in a vision at a murder scene, Allison calls upon his assistance to find a serial killer. However, the only way Capt. Push can help is by literally putting his life on the line.

Grey’s Anatomy 5×24: Now or Never

Part one of a two-hour season finale. Izzie spends time with a fellow cancer patient and contemplates whether or not to undergo a risky surgery, as Mark is ready to take his relationship with Lexie to the next level. A patient makes Owen reassess his place at Seattle Grace and Izzie’s surgery to remove the brain tumor has dire consequences. This is the second hour of a 2-hour season premiere. A two episode entries have been created. The 10pm EST marker will mark to beginning of the second episode.

House 2×24: No Reason

As House and his team are working on the diagnosis of a man with a giant, swollen tongue, the husband of a former patient walks into House’s office and shoots him. House continues to treat his patient from his ICU hospital bed with the shooter, who has been shot by hospital security and hand-cuffed to his bed, as his roommate. When the after-effects of the shooting begin to impact House, he starts to question his own ability to diagnose properly. As his patient’s body deteriorates, House struggles through his self-doubt and must trust his team to find a way to solve the case.

Gilmore Girls 7×22: Bon Voyage

Rory, in her pajamas, meets CNN journalist and her idol Christiane Amanpour. Although Lorelai and Rory have planned a crazy roller coaster tour for the summer, Rory must postpone their trip when she gets a surprise job offer to cover Barack Obama’s presidential campaign for an online magazine in Eldridge, Iowa. She must leave in three days for possibly two years, breaking the hearts of all the townspeople looking forward to her graduation re-enactment in a week. Luke enlists the help of everyone in Stars Hollow to throw Rory a surprise bon voyage party. Also, Lorelai is staying maniacally busy to keep from showing how saddened she is, but finally admits she is worried that if she stops to think about Rory leaving then she might fall apart. Also, Lane consoles Rory when she has a panic attack about leaving everyone and everything she loves behind. When Babette has a premonition (via her ankles) of a huge rainstorm, Luke stays up all night sewing a tent to keep Rory’s outdoor party covered from the downpour. His thoughtfulness brings an unexpected reaction from Lorelai, allowing the two to star a passionate kiss. Meanwhile, Emily is pleased when Lorelai decides to continue the Friday night dinners without Rory. Finally, on the morning that Rory leaves Stars Hollow to start her career, Luke opens the diner before dawn to share a special breakfast with the Gilmore girls.

Dexter 3×12: Do You Take Dexter Morgan?

Dexter’s focus shifts to calming his emotionally unstable brother, Ramon, now that Miguel out of the picture. Now tha Ramon has calmed down, Dexter feels he can breathe once again. All that is left now is his upcoming marriage to Rita, until another deadly surprise shows it’s ugly head. Meanwhile, Batista informs Debra that she is going to received her Detective’s shield, but is instantly blindsided when she receives information which may end her promotion.

At the same time, Carlos learns more about the tension-filled relationship between Gabrielle and her mother when she drops by Wisteria Lane for a visit. Lastly, Bree's problem with alcohol intensifies with the notice of Lynette after Bree babysits her children.

Tom tries hard to bond with his new boss, but at the expense of his dignity when playing childish games at the office. Tom tries to get Lynette to help him out. Meanwhile, Susan gets some help from Edie and Karl on her situation of getting health insurance before her upcoming surgery. Edie and Karl coerce Susan to marry a gay man who's hiding the fact that he's gay from his mother. When the plan eventually fails Karl gives Susan an offer she can't refuse. Also, Gabrielle becomes very attached to a temporary Chinese immigrant housekeeper who is staying with Solis' after being rescued by another slave owner employer. Lastly, Bree tries to uncover more about the Applewhites by sneaking into their house to meet Caleb, which eventually leads to a heart-to-heart conversation between Betty and Bree.

Desperate Housewives 2×13: There’s Something About a War

Dr. Ron informs Susan that she needs a splenectomy, and it's the doctor's first time, which leads Susan rather uneasy. Gabrielle is not so pleased when Carlos brings up the topic of "baby" again as Carlos still wants to continue trying to conceive again. Gabrielle and her arch-enemy Sister Mary Bernard finally face off in church when Gabrielle confronts her about getting rid of her from Carlos' life. Tom decides to apply for an empty position at Lynette's job, which leads to the arousal of past issues in their marriage. Lastly, Matthew and Danielle's relationship is found out by both their mothers, which leads to big repercussions later on for Bree and her past secret with Andrew last year.

After a number of bad dates, Susan finally meets Dr. Right. Susan flirts with a handsome doctor, but they accidentally headbutt. Meanwhile, some old pictures of Gabrielle turn up on the Internet. Tom is alarmed when his kids come down with chicken pox -- because he’s never had it. Bree gets arrested. Lastly, after months of silence, Noah Taylor contacts Mike Delfino.

On one of Gabrielle's prison visits to see Carlos she creates a terrible riot, which lands Carlos in hot water. Gabrielle meets an interesting attorney whom she is attracted to. Also, Susan puts her feelings aside and joins Mike in searching for his son Zach, although Susan finds Zach when alone. She learns of his intentions to get back together with Julie, and feels she must take matters into her own hands. Lynette is surprised to find out that her son Parker has an imaginary friend. Lastly, George and Andrew both vie for Bree's attention as they both compete in making each other look bad in front of her, until one fight goes a little too far.

Bree’s mother-in-law, Phyllis (guest star Shirley Knight), gets her in trouble with the law, Susan tries bravely to accept Edie’s new role in Julie’s life, Lynette’s demanding boss (guest star Joely Fisher) makes her miss Parker’s first day of kindergarten. Bree later on takes a polygraph test to prove her innocence in Rex's death and realizes she has feelings for George. Gabrielle finally comes to the truth about Carlos and John after seeing John with another woman. Also, Gabrielle has a new gardener, Ralph (guest star Alejandro Patino) who has just start mowing her lawn. Both are flirtatious, although Gabrielle holds back by trying to keep him out of the house and to just work.

Desperate Housewives 2×2: You Could Drive a Person Crazy

Susan is surprised, and not pleasantly so, when she finds out who Edie's new boyfriend is---her ex-husband Karl. Meanwhile Lynette goes back to work, leaving Tom at home in charge of the house, which turns out to be a better plan in theory. Lynette has a problem of getting Tom to keep the house clean on a more daily basis. Bree's mother-in-law, Phyllis (guest star Shirley Knight), continues to drive Bree crazy with her melodramatic grieving in public places, and Carlos makes an unusual request to Gabrielle after his life is threatened behind bars. Also, Mike and Susan try to figure out where their relationship stands after Mike's previous bombshell to Susan. Susan is late with her newspaper payments, and gets in a fight with the paperboy. Gabrielle brings cash to a woman in a bad neighborhood, which she ultimately holds on to herself. Lastly, pharmacist George reemerges in back into Bree's life, which sets off an alarm to mother-in-law Phyllis and her suspicions surrounding her son's death. In the last scene of the episode, Phyllis makes a call to the life insurance company and informs the agent that Bree is dating.

Desperate Housewives 2×1: Next

The second season picks up where the first left off. Rex is dead, and, new neighbors, the Applewhites have moved in. Gabrielle, Lynette, and Susan attempt to comfort Bree while Phyllis, Rex's mother, arrives on Wisteria Lane. Meanwhile Mike and Susan deal with Zach while Gabrielle struggles with the two men in her life.
