The family wins a trip to Delaware, but Homer refuses to pay the tax on the ticket, so they ride the rails and meet a hobo who sings and tells them some tall tales. The first is the tale is about “Paul Bunyan” and here we are treated to Homer playing the role of Paul as a giant doofus, a natural role for him. The next tale shows us Lisa as “Connie Appleseed,” who tries to convince the pioneers to eat apples instead of buffalo. The third tale isn’t really tall, it’s a Mark Twain tale about Tom Sawyer (Bart) and Huckleberry Finn (Nelson), whom go on the run when Huck won’t marry Becky (Lisa).

Cartman confronts his Mother about it, and she says that he was conceived at the 12th Annual Drunken Barn Dance. Meanwhile, Kyle and Stan enter a videotape they made of Cartman holding a tea party with stuffed animals in the weekly contest held by America’s Stupidest Home Videos.

Trunks and Goten heal up from their injuries. They will train the rest of the day and fight Majin Buu tomorrow at full strength. On the world of the Kais, the Elder Kai has finished his five-hour ritual. Now Gohan must sit and meditate for twenty more hours for his power to awaken. Back at Buu’s house, Hercule arrives to defeat the evil creature. He tries some tricks with poison candy and exploding video games, but they have no effect on the monster. Buu decides to be friends with Hercule.

Meanwhile, because of the endless loop, Phoebe has a number of strong cases of déjà vu, and she even sees Andy’s death at the hand of a demon.

It is the last day of school and Lisa has no one to sign her yearbook; Bart on the other hand is quite popular. Flanders offers Homer his Little Pwagmattasquarmsettport beach house for a few days, since he has jury duty and won’t be able to use it. Lisa worries about not having a friend to bring. Bart brings Milhouse, making Lisa feel depressed. Lisa decides not to bring any of her dorky things so that she can redefine her identity. She gets new clothes and searches for kids with whom to play. She finds a bunch of local kids that seem to like her for whom she is. To make her feel even more special, they reject Bart in favor of her, making Bart jealous. Meanwhile, Homer sets out to buy illegal fireworks. Lisa is acting exactly like Bart when she hangs out, infuriating Bart and he decides to sabotage her friendships. He shows them a yearbook, revealing her as a nerd. She is humiliated and angry with him. He feels bad, so he tries to win back her friends. Even though they’ve found out she is a nerd, it turns out that they don’t mind and they all sign her yearbook.
On the behest of Wayne, Dahlia and the children hit the road with Cherien's mother and Nina, who has decided to leave Eden Falls. Wayne stays behind to clean up the mess created by Pete Mintzy. Meanwhile, Hugh offers Wayne a part of a lucrative land deal.
The rift in Wayne and Dahlia's relationship continues to widen. The Bayou Hills deal is put at risk because of treacherous behaviour at the construction site. Meanwhile, a relationship between Di Di and Ike blossoms, and Cael decides to stay at Rosaleen's camp.
Wayne struggles to regain Dahlia's trust while also attempting to keep Dale and the other Travellers away. Meanwhile, Cael and Rosaleen become closer, and Nina throws a party for Jim that comes to a shocking end.
Living the straight life continues to prove difficult for Dahlia, and Wayne receives a surprise visitor while at work. Elsewhere, Cael meets other Travellers on the road.
Dahlia tries to go straight, though finds living an honest life difficult. Cael decides to move out of the Riches' home. Doug's past, meanwhile, stirs up problems for Wayne.
Wayne helps Hugh cope with his depression in an effort to save the Bayou Hills deal. Meanwhile, Cael's reckless behaviour at school forces Wayne to intervene.
Wayne is reluctant to enter into a partnership with Dale. Elsewhere, Dahlia fears that her and the children have become out of practice with their Traveller skills.
